Hacking the community itself

I wasn't sure where to post this so I picked here..

I've been learning arduino which is really fun. I came up with a great way to advance learning. I organized a contest. inventorArtist » Arduino Challenge!

The cool thing is you meet new people of all levels (as do all the other people).

This contest is just off the ground and most participants don't have a project.

What are some simple project ideas?

D

Hi, sounds great, but there's no address on your link. Where is Ottawa and how do I get there from Huddersfield?

Seriously, there may be better part of the Forum to post your invitation. Somewhere in Community?

The contest is open to everyone everywhere, I just happen to be in ottawa...

This is a cool way to help your projects since the contest connects you to more people, mentors and stuff.

I was hoping that people from this forum could help the participants by posting simple project ideas in the comment (or here and I'll post them).

You're right there may be a better place for this thread but I couldn't figure it out. I was posting it as a way to help out any project (one could either join or run a contest)...

It's way more fun than it looks.

So were are all the good lists of easy project so I can inspire all the contest participants with some good stuff?

Many of the participants don't have a project yet...

Thanks I added that to the comments on the page.

We're up to 7 contestant pages (of the 23 or so contestants)....

The contest was a smashing success.. http://inventorartist.com/oac/

Hey, anybody want to do an international one? Would people from here join one if I posted?

Or just join the "Let's make a clock challenge". It's here: inventorArtist » Let’s Make a Clock
