i am having an hanrun w5100 ethernet shield which on uploading an arduino example program "DHCPadressprinter" always shows "Failed to configure Ethernet using DHCP" i want an solution
iam using:-
1)arduino uno
2)w5100 ethernet shield
3)my modem D-LINK DSL 2730u
connected my HCL laptop with WINDOWS 7 connected with internet by wi-fi
i had connected an LAN cable (rj45)cable in my ethernet shield and another end in modem LAN port
HANRUN is only the maker of the RJ45 port not the shield.
Demanding a solution is unlikely to get many responses.
However...
Can you see the Arduino in your routers DHCP logs or device list ?
How are you powering your Arduino ?
is your router set to be the DHCP server or is your ISP set for that role.
Where are you acquiring the DNS ?
Are you set within the routers subnet ?
Did you change the MAC address ?
Did you make any changes to the sketch at all ?
