One unit (HC-05) returns a strange set of characters. It is consistent, thought the number of x's and squares" (see including screen shot) varies in a constant set of replies.
Other simliar units either returns OKs or "error(0).
Each test uses the same Arduino code.
Have you considered that you may have a broken HC-05? I think that you can set up a HC-05 for a different baud rate; not sure, I haven't used them. If so, it can explain the symptom.
Installation and Troubleshooting is about issues with the IDE, not for problems with (nor for advice on) your project.. Therefore your topic has been moved to a more suitable location on the forum.
You seem to have posted the wrong picture. It is just empty code. Also, other than that they are both Bluetooth devices, there is no connection between HC-05 and HM-10 - either procedurally or literally. So address one at a time.
So, if you are correcting me please telll the details of your correction, (i.e., which "more suitable location")
