Not sure if this thread is a bit of a backwater but here goes.
Do you think there would be any legs in the idea of someone designing a new type of HC-05 base board similar to this...
that breaks out the relevant pins in the same order as needed for the standard FTDI adaptor like this...
so once it's configured for the correct baud rate it becomes a plugin replacement for the FTDI to allow wireless programming of board like the Arduino Pro or Pro Mini.
