The Hc05 BT module on the Lafvin 2wd robot car V 2 does not respond to AT commando's. Therefore i can not switch into pairing modern. There is no switch on the Hc05. So i am stuck with the bluetooth connection.
Could you post a photo of the board please so we can see its layout please?
The State and En pins are not used.
How do you know that?
How do you know it's an HC-05?
It doesn't look like one, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't, and it doesn't look like an HC-06 either.
Why would they put an HC-05 in a car, and not an HC-06?
Could it actually be an HC-06? If it was, that might explain your problem, also the absence of the switch, and possibly your note that EN is not used. If you are cynical enough, you might even conclude it's neither, but actually a BLE device - which also would not use a switch or the EN pin. Identifying the chip might be helpful.
HC-06 is in AT mode by default @ 9600 baud, as are BLE devices.
I'm betting it's a BLE device......
This nonsensical post might actually be useful.
At closer look, it identifies on my Phone as JD-19. This is a low energy ble device apparently ....

Since the module has 6 pins it is not a Hc05. Hc06 has 4 pins.

No. Since the module has 6 pins, it is probably an HC-05.
No. An HC-06 uses only four pins, but it could be mounted on a 6-pin breakout board. About the only way to tell which HC-0x is which is to ask it.
Similarly, BLE devices only use four pins, yet here you have one on a 6-pin breakout board.
both HC-0x have 34 contacts, most of which are unused.
Further investigation shows that it is a JDY-16..... Sorry about the confusion.

No, i get that in the BT screen of my android Phone. Also the info of the robot car tells me so. I do not get response from At commands .

Here is the datasheet. It explains how to set the baud as I show in post #10
JDY16-1.pdf (723.0 KB)
Thank, I will have a go at that.![]()

The module is not responding to AT commands using Arduino IDE. I have also tried Tera Term but no joy.I just cannot get into the module which is connected to my Arduino Uno.
Do you have it set to 115200 and using CR + LF?
Yes, makes no difference. It looks that there is no communication between the Arduino and the JDY-16. I have to check the connection board on top of the Arduino to find whether the pins are correct.

A common mistake is failure to use logic level shifters when connecting I/O pins on 5V processors like the Uno to 3.3V-only JDY-16 or similar modules.
That won't work, and can even destroy one or both ends of the connection.
Sorry for my ignorance, but what make you think that Lafvin provided me with Logic level shifters with the robot car?

I'm simply informing you of a beginner mistake that frequently comes up on this forum.
You have not provided any useful information about the exact components you have, posted the code, or described how the setup is connected. If you do so, then continuing this discussion might be helpful.
Please read and follow the instructions in the "How to get the best out of this forum" post, linked at the head of every forum category.
I have decided to ditch the jdy-16 in exchange for a more riable Hc05.
So this discussions can be clsed by the moderator
