I'm an engineer apprentice in Microtechnics and I'm looking forward an electronic board for a project.
To put it in a nutshell, I would like to control at the same time two stepper motors (0.8A with 6V). However, the device would be embedded so it would be powered thanks to a battery (12V).
I have a little short of knowledge in electronics. So can you help me to choose the right board which would be both controller and driver ?
Thanks a lot for your answers or/and your advices !!!
Have a nice day

You will need to have two boards, a controller and driver. The Arduino cannot drive the motors. Any of the Arduino boards will do the job. It depends on how much room you have and how the parts are connected.
Thank a lot for you quick answer
I have no room restraints. I have to connect a battery, two stepper motors (but which don't work at the same time), two analogue decoders.
Is this you ask me?
Post a link to the datasheet for the motor you are proposing to use.
Stepper motors are very inefficient. They draw full power even when stationary. If you need to power it with a battery for any extended period of time you will need a large battery.
