I was wondering if there were any existing tutorials out there that could help me hook up a position sensitive sensor (PSD) using an Arduino Uno? Here is a link to the product I plan on using. http://www.edmundoptics.com/electro-optics/position-detection/position-sensitive-detectors/2665
I've never used one of these - but strangely enough I own a couple that I found in a local electronics junkyard, but didn't know precisely what they were (but I knew they were for detecting light direction in some manner).
Anyhow - check out this datasheet:
...and this schematic (for the above part):
Note that it only shows one amplifier module - which needs to be replicated for the other three diodes.
Hopefully that will give you enough to go on - note, though, that in order to really know what to do - you need a proper datasheet for the part you plan to use, which doesn't seem to be provided by Edmund Optics (?). You might also look into other sources for such a sensor; it's been my experience that Edmund's marks up their products like nobody's business - you might find such a sensor cheaper elsewhere.

I appreciate the help! Yeah, strangely Edmunds does not have a datasheet that tells me what the 4 pins do at all. How do they expect me to hook it up?! lol I will definitely try and find another vendor for the PSD. Thank you.
