Am I able to safely use a 5V 2A 10W AC to DC wall adapter with a Arduino mini thermal printer that runs on 5.06V but has a voltage range of 5-6V
The power (V * A) required by the printer is less than 2A, yes. Read this:
I did not buy it from Adafruit Industries (though there printing library should work). I bought it from Malkrt on Amazon at this link
It came with no power supply only cables and the printer with a roll, as you can see if you click the link
Thank you for giving the PDF I will use that if it can be used to help with my specific hardware and voltage
Within the text of the description on Amazon it says:
Our thermal printer works well with a 5 9V3A power supply.
I would think that they meant to say a 5v to 9v power supply capable of delivering up to 3A. Unfortunately that doesn't tell you much as they could also say it works well with a 30A power supply! You need to know the actual specs.
That seems to contradict the information on the webpage you gave the link to.
Are you sure that is the actual printer you have?
The seller does not post image or text of the test page where it says "voltage: 5.06V" on it.
So you already have the printer and you are using it with a 5V 2A supply.
Does it work OK?
