High Accuracy gps

Hi any one know about a gps that can be used with arduino that has a .5 meter accuracy. I will use it to land a drone on a charging pad about 1 meter by 1 meter.

preferably under 30$.

Sorry, does not exist at that price. Increase your budget by a factor of 20-40 and use an RTK setup.

Agreed, such a GPS does not exist.

If you want accuracy less than 3M to 5M, you need to use differential GPS, definetly not low cost.

how can I then get a drone to land on the pad during any weather day or night

RTK was mentioned. Or use a beacon. GPS will get you close enough to see the beacon.

For less than $30, are you being serious ?

Vision based system for final approach, use LEDs in a fixed pattern at night.

Real world systems probably use a combination of methods for the obvious safety reasons, high accuracy GPS + Vision .................

But real world would not have a budget of less than $30. I agree that RTK is an excellent option and believe with the lowering cost and the growing networks sending out the error info RTK will play a huge role in commercialization of UAVs.

Of course not .................

And even that is insanely cheap compared to what it would have cost even 10 years ago.

$275 each for these superb, state of the art modules.
