High power from USB-c

HI
I am looking into drawing high power from USB-c. I see it can go up to 20v and 100W.( depending on the charger). I was wondering if there is a simpler way to access these high power modes other than using a microcontroller (e.g. Power Delivery Board - USB-C (Qwiic) Hookup Guide - SparkFun Learn
)
. For now a 5v3a would be good enough for me or 9v2a.
maybe with some pullup resistors or something??

My charger indicates it does support above modes and also 12v1.5a.

If your charger indicated that it can do 5V 3A then that should be the default.
This boards has the pull-down resistors on it that you need

ok I think I found what I need: a USB-C Type-C PD Trigger Module.
