Hou to measure Distance using PIR sensor can you help me?
Passive IR is not the right. technology to measue distance. Pir says,"something there.", but no other information. Utrasonic, time of flight, etc. sensors will measure distance, but cannot identify individual objects.
@kagana88 this is the second question you've posted regarding PIR sensors. The first was:
Perhaps you can explain what it is you project is trying/required to do.
Oh, and probably move your post out of the COVID-19 projects section (unless of course it is related to COVID-19).
Topic moved as I can't see how this relates to Emergency Response: Covid-19 Projects - Arduino Forum.
The distance in what use case? You could take a whole bunch of them, arrange them in a line recessed 1-2" inside a tube (like toilet paper tubes), set them maybe two feet apart to measure the distance someone walked along that wall, say, in a room:
(wall) (sensor1) (sensor2) (sensor3)
----------------O-----------------O------------------O--------------------[and so on]
but beyond that, as others have said, not the greatest for measuring distance
Thanks for replying me by this useful information
