I'm presently experimenting with a sensor connected to several LEDs. im trying to conceal the sensor. my initial attempt using a thin layer of resin resulted in the sensor failing to respond when pressure was applied, thus keeping the LEDs inactive. Is there a workaround to achieve this? Should I consider using conductive resin?
Well, first of all a link to the exact sensor could help us much more.
If the sensor is resistive (e.g. made of a two conductive layers and a non-conductive separator) responding to the pressure applied to their surface, you need to let the finger pressure get through the external cover, so you can't use resin or any other hard surface. And I don't think a conductive resin could make any better result because the sensor needs to be "under pressure" (cit. David Bowie and Queen ;-)).
