How to change the Card UID of individual rfid tags

I am working on a project where I would like to change the UID of each card to a specifc street address and I can not find a code or tutorial that would help to change each card. Any help would be great

If the UID is the card's serial number, then you can't change it.

Mifare cards allow you to store about 1K of data on the card. You could easily have an address field on the card.

Interesting. It looks like the changeable ID cards cost $24 each.

So apparently it's possible but not very practical.

Yeah, at $24, it would depend on just how important it is.

Still, as you say, if the purpose is really to simply store a street address, that doesn't have to be placed in the UID. It could be written as data. I'm always a bit wary when I see topics like this crop up. Like a recent thread about disabling a horse's RFID tag so a new one could replace it.
