If this is targeted for production contact the display manufacturer they will gladly make the cable longer if you are using what they consider a reasonable quantity.

FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) or FFC (Flat Flexible Cable) are typically not designed to be soldered directly. They are usually connected via specific connectors designed to hold the flat ribbon securely to provide a reliable electrical connection.
I think you need to use a dedicated FFC/FLC connector or a breakout board designed for this purpose.
