How to make a metal reflector to pass RFID signals through metal surfaces!

Hi there,
I'm gonna make a RFID door lock using RC522 module and arduno. The challenge that you all are Aware of it, is how to pass RFID signals through metal surfaces. I read in a topic, It could be possible by making a Metal Reflector to centralize the RFID signals. have you ever experienced this issue? guide me with making the metal reflector or any other solution.

Regards.

Guys, I'm looking forward to your replies!

It seems you forgot to give a link to the topic you refer to.
That failing, I think your best bet of getting radio signals to pass through metal is to contact Mother Nature and request an amendment to the laws of physics. Unfortunately I can't give you much chance of that being accepted, and you have to keep in mind Mother Nature is a dictator that prefers to be worshipped like a god, rather than be challenged. When she unleashes her fury it can be pretty devastating.

Solid metal, no way. But if you make slits in the metal that are 1/4 wave length of your RFID signal, then they will propagate through the metal slits, which become tiny antennas.

Hi there, Thanks for the Philosophical information

Here's the Topic which I referred to:

Passing RFID Signals through metal has been solved, and if you Google it you'll find out a Japanese company has created a solution for this challenge! However, I know it's not that simple  ( but doable  )

Dear Paul, thanks for the information. would you give me some more details about it or suggest a reference. I'm working on RC522 Module and it must work through metal surface! In addition, I was able to increase its range to 6cm by adding some components (inductors, ...)

Google will give all the links you need and then some! Look for "slot antenna".
