how to take push button output signal in pec11 encoder

Hi,

from which pin (S or W) we need to take push button signal, and is that 5v needed to give to S pin.

Could anyone suggest me the connection to take push button signal in pec?

In datasheet i referred connection for A,B encoder out. It is ok. but for switch i did not get clearly

It looks like the S and W pins are the contacts of the switch and can be used the same as any normal switch.

I would connect it from a digital input to gnd and use a pull up R. Polarity does not matter.
