How to turn off the "auto indent" feature?

I've been using the new Arduino 2.x version from when it was beta and the auto indent feature is completely broken and while I reported it a number of times, it continues to be so.

It jumps around, returning the to the start of the line, adding lines, messing up indentation and generally gets in the way, instead of improving the usablity.

Is there some way I can just turn this "feature" off so I can get on with coding?

IDE >> EDIT >> DECREASE INDENT

See if IDE 2 unwanted cursor movement - #2 by ptillisch provides a suitable workaround.
