How to upload arduino MINI via arduino mega 2560 as USB to TTL adapter

Hi

I have recently bought an Arduino MINI wich doest not have an USB to up-load the Sketch from the PC.

As I already have an Arduino MEGA 2560, I have tried to use it as an "USB to TTL" adapter but without success.

I have conected:

5v to 5v GND to GND Rx to Tx (also tried with Rx) Tx to Rx (also tried with Tx)

Reset to GND in MEGA. But it does not work.

I have got error mesages like: "avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00"

Somebody could help me

Many thanks

Will have to manually press Reset on the Promini when the IDE shows "compiled xxx of 32xxx bytes". Or press & hold reset, release on the message. May take a couple of tries. You are certain the Promini has a bootloader? Many have reported that clones do not.

Thanks Crossroad for your answer. I have already solved it. The soluthion is, pressing the Reset (in the Mini) while compiling, and (this very important) releasing just before uploading. your are right. You may need two tries.

P.D: I have found many infos about this proble with "Arduino PRO Mini", but none with "Arduino Mini".
