I accidnetly short circuit my arduino UNO R3 Rev3

As the title memtioned, now when I connect the arduino to my computer the arduino will become become super hot and also some error message pop up.Does this mean that I need to change a new arduino ? Thx

You don't state which component get super hot. And you don't state what the popup says; possibly that you're overloading the USB port.

Definitely sounds like it.

In most cases you can't trust an electronic circuit anymore after a short circuit on the board... So unfortunately yes, seems yours is dead.
