The most likely cause is a poor installation, I'd suggest re-installing the Arduino IDE.

Or a conflict between the version of Java installed by the IDE and one that was already on the system.
Some 64 bit systems need to run the IDE in 32 bit compatibility mode, and there have been issues reported with color depth settings, too.
A little searching, instead of whining, would produce lots of similar issues, and even a few answers.

it is a work for my univercity and i need info very fast.i didn't find anyathing in web.i have 32bit system and programms.
also if i work in safe mode on windows xp the programms run very well.some programm from my computer stops this.i don;t know.if you learn something please send it here.thanks!!!
