Would have preferred it either central or all the way to the left.
Other than that it looks quite good !

Make your browser window smaller I can't verify now.
Moves chair back a foot and changes browser resolution.
So, I rotated my phone 90 degrees.
No change.
How the I go to the groups, users, and badges pages now?
Sidebar > Community section > expand the menu clicking on More and you will find users, groups and badges.
The first thing you should understand is that we had to change the navigation menu design because the previous design is being removed from the Discourse framework this forum is built on, as I explained here.
If you are interested in the configuration of the forum, I strongly recommend monitoring the Website and Forum category. We solicited opinions in this category about which of the two available sidebar designs should be chosen:

The decision to select the "Sidebar" design was based directly on the feedback from the forum community.
This is the technical term for it:
Thanks. On mine, I added a Reference section with these two links:
The RTFM documentation links should be easily accessible from any page on the forum.
Now they are for me, personally:
Hello !
IΒ΄m not at the left!
Must say, congratulations to the WEB site staff for these changes.
Credit goes to the Discourse team:
and the contributors to the free open source Discourse forum framework:
Some things can be made permanent (or kind of permanent). This is an older screenshot of the staging forum.
It has a HowTos custom section that is populated with default items for newbies to see (e g. Perry's how to get the best out of this forum.
Btw. I like your ideas what can go in @pert might even make it permanent.
Sorry, and where are "New" and " Unreaded" links in new interface?
I dont see neither first nor second on my phone
Click everything under Community
Click the dropdown with latest and make your pick
To be honest, I do not know what it looked like before as I never use it like that with a cell phone. I just open the categories.
Note that the "New" and "Unread" are only shown in the menu when there are new or unread topics.
Thank you
In that case I was probably mistaken, sorry. I'm not sure how mobile phones are detected, possibly user agent strings. I recall that I have seen javascript / CSS in Discourse that do use the size to determine layout related things.
I was going to comment that it looks more like a stack of what Americans call cheese slices, that they put on hamburgers, but these would be laminated so tightly, they'd just be a single thick line.
