I will pay $50 to the first person to solve this problem to my satisfaction:

Oops. I created a throwaway account that it has left me logged into. If you choose to do that you can access the documentation for using MicroBlue on various platforms. Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32. the tutorials link to GitHub repositories with code for each platform.
GitHub

The Github page leads to Arduino and Pico code, but does not seem to have any information on how the radio is supposed to be connected, or work. I may pursue this some other time.

Yeah, if you create an account and run the Uno R3 tutorial, page 2 of the tutorial has a link to the code and I was able to figure out how to attach an HM-10 radio module. If you have the time to go through the code from the tutorials I think you'll find what you need. You'll have to create an account to run the tutorials but the pertinent information is available in the GitHub repository if you dig deep enough. It may not be worth the trouble to you. I was primarily interested in how the iOS app worked with the PicoW and that was pretty easy to figure out.

That helped, thanks. I hadn't looked long enough, as the "bluetooth controlled" examples make it clear how things are supposed to work. MicroBlue seems very simple and clean, and may be generally useful for hobbyists.

You're welcome. MicroBlue does seem to have lots of capability without having to break out Xcode and write an iPhone app.

Glad to see that this topic created at least some useful discussion.

I found that the RoboRemo app on Android meets most of my needs, therefore I am withdrawing my $50 offer and saying good bye to all the trolls that infest this forum.

You owe them US$50

Too late. You made a written contract.

Even after you had all the comments about you being a fraud taken down. You won't re-write this part. Pay.

The useful part was deleted my the mod.

Still waiting for you to fulfil your written contract.

So who should get the $50?

I'd say each participant in the deleted posts, 'cause those were the useful ones.

You! I just want it paid so I can sleep again... because I will not until such payment is complete.

Given the answer was on a already existing web site from someone who shared for free - the $50 should go either to the person who found that web site or probably to a Charitable organization…

Are you not charitable? Do you not "give freely" here?
