I dunno. I ordered a 5 pack of the adapter boards last night. I have a pile of Wii (Wiis, Wiii?) because I repair and recycle them, and thus have a ready supply of WiiMotes and WiiChucks. I think the WiiMotes uses bluetooth.

So what voltage do they actually use when plugged directly into the Wii? I think that's what you can do, isn't it? A bit of research as a result of this interest - haven't yet decided to buy one and I seem to recall picking up one at a garage sale many years ago but not sure where I put it - I gat…

Yup, the WiiMote is just a Broadcom BCM2042 with an 8051 chugging away.

I mean, do they actually have a boost converter in it?
