Hello, I have an LCD in my new learning kit, I wanted to do a project. I saw it has an I2C module, I will also add that I am new to these things. How do I remove that module? Is it soldered?

If you want to follow the tutorials that use a 16x2 LCD without an i2c backpack, buy one without a backpack and save the one you have for another project. As a beginner, if you try removing the backpack, you are likely to damage both the backpack and the LCD.

Why would you want to remove it?

Some vendors send the LCD and the I2C modules separate so you have to solder them together. Some others send them already soldered. I would have to see a picture of yours to answer your question

Don't remove the LCD entirely - just breaks the SDA/SCL lines. If you theed the Pins of the I2C Bus of the controller, take ensure, that the pull-up resistors will be not active.
