IDE 1.8.19 port menu grayed out

I am using a r4 minima. I can connect and upload to minima but i cant open the Serial monitor. It says:

Board at  is not available

I saw that it may be a driver issue but i tried installing the driver multiple times.
In the IDE Tools>Port is greyed out so I cant select the port.

I see that message, sometimes a lot especially if my USB cord is going bad or the connector is failing. Try a different USB cord. I use the Arduino IDE.
