When attempting to download the IDE from the Arduino site, I get an error 503, service unavailable. Going to http://downloads.arduino.cc gets the same error. Is this site running from an Arduino? It'd be more reliable if it was, geez.

Still broken, 7 hours and counting...
I was receiving the same error on the 1.5.8 IDE, but not the 1.0.6. Looks like it's working now, though

Say your url is
http://downloads.arduino.cc/arduino-1.0.6-linux64.tgz?lots of other stuff here

The links do seem to be fixed at last, thanks for the temporary fix fellow Arduinoers.
I'm so impressed with the Arduino web team's communication skills. They're just awesome.
We are putting in production a new download server. We have much more control on it and so far it behaved quite well

I'm not sure i'm perfectly happy with 1.6.0.
Might want to revert back to 1.0.6 or so (no need for any advanced, or 32 bit versions for me yet).
Beware: If you have Lavasoft Web Companion installed it currently blocks the downloads. This software comes with Ad-Aware free, but must be uninstalled separately.
If you do not wan't to uninstall, you can exit it to download the files.
