ILI9341 2.4" SPI display not working with Nano RP2040 Connect

Hello,

I have an Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect and a 2.4" TFT SPI 240x320 ILI9341 display.

I tried to connect the display like in this example:
https://arduino-er.blogspot.com/2021/06/arduino-nano-rp2040-connect-ili9341-spi.html

All I get is a white screen. I have no other components connected other than the Nano and the display. I checked the connections with a digital multimeter and they are OK. I checked the display with an Atmega328 board and it works fine.

If I open the Serial Monitor I get this info:

Blockquote
Lines 430977
Horiz/Vert Lines 49916
Rectangles (outline) 32467
Rectangles (filled) 1245403
Circles (filled) 164029
Circles (outline) 188398
Triangles (outline) 96638
Triangles (filled) 425538
Rounded rects (outline) 88299
Rounded rects (filled) 1249125
Done!

Because this is a simple 2 component setup I have no idea what to check next. Any help would be appreciated.

You have a screen, an MCU and no code. What do you expect to happen?

I don't understand what you are saying. I uploaded the code from the graphicstest example in the Adafruit_ILI9341 library.

Post all the code in code tags, also post any error log output in code tags. A hand drawn wiring diagram is also needed.

It's the code from the Adafruit_ILI9341 graphicstest example. I did not change anything.

I do not get any errors.

Wiring diagram:
Wiring diagram link

If I look at the setup() you posted, it is not reflected in he Serial output. Either the upload failed and this is old code running, or it's some sort of internal diagnostic.
Start with the simplest examples, something like Hello World

Either your wiring is bad or your TFT is bad. The code works in a simulation.

I tried the following code:

#include "SPI.h"
#include "Adafruit_GFX.h"
#include "Adafruit_ILI9341.h"

#define TFT_DC 9
#define TFT_CS 10

Adafruit_ILI9341 tft = Adafruit_ILI9341(TFT_CS, TFT_DC);

void setup() {
tft.begin();
}

void loop() {
tft.fillScreen(ILI9341_BLACK);
}

I still get a white screen.
I tested the TFT with an Atmega328 board and it works. I tested the connections with a digital multimeter and they are OK. The only thing that I do not know is if all pins involved are working on the Nano Connect.

Is the RP 5vdc? Why not use hardware that works together?

The display and board should work together. It's a genuine Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect. I connected the display the the 3.3V Pin.

From what I know the pins work at 3.3V.

Where is this documented?

Does the library work with the RP?

In the first post there is a link with exactly the same setup. There are many examples all over the internet.

So, this is my fault? Why not get those many examples and drag them over here where people can look at them? Or are you going to struggle against that, too?

I did exactly that in the first post. I dragged an example over here so people can look at it.
Maybe you should move on to other topics on this forum.

No, you did not.

Maybe I won't.

Supply the circuit drawing and the device datasheets. A photo shows your handywork versus a drawing.
