I have noticed that you have two relatively new (year 2021) questions about the problems for downloading Arduino IDE. (I'm not the only one) One question revealed that arduino website does not support any other browser than Google Chrome. "Just download" button is missing from other browsers. It is visible only with Chrome browser. This has lead to another question that I found from the forum. Person who donated couldn't get the download link after donating. Is there reason you only support privacy invading browser? I also can't download it with Firefox. I will not use Chrome ever! Is there any way to download it without using Google stuff? I need the real thing, not MS Store app thing. Thank you.
I am running Firefox on a Win10 machine an have had no trouble downloading the IDE. I just downloaded and installed the zip version of 1.8.16 from the download page a few days ago.

I just studied more this issue. For some reason I ended up to this url: Main/Software_ That url had older release and when I clicked win download, I couldn't get that "Just download" to be visible. Then I found the latest version and correct url: /software and through that site, I managed to download it. Perhaps others were redirected to wrong url from search engines too? But issue is closed, wrong url, broken site in old version.

I can confirm your observations and I have reported it via https://www.arduino.cc/en/contact-us/. Hopefully the will remove the incorrect content or redirect.

I've gotten a reply that this issue is now solved. Both links are now going to the same page (https://www.arduino.cc/en/software ) where you can donate or just download.
