Is an amplifier needed for MP3 Player Module Dfplayer and which memory card is suitable

Hi!
I have 2 questions:

Question 1:
Is it possible to connect speakers to the following common module directly (amplifier built into the hardware) or should an external amplifier be used?
I ask because I see conflicting things online. Sometimes I see the use of an external amplifier and sometimes not.

Question 2:
I don't quite understand which memory cards are suitable for this module? There are important details to check when buying these cards - will every micro card work?
And - is an adapter needed for this card?

What does the documentation for the unknown hardware say?

The DFPlayer can drive one mono speaker or it has stereo line outputs if you want to use an amplifier (or stereo and/or more power).

That link also has some information about formatting the Micro SDcard.
