Is that a problem?

İ was trying to remove a broken relay leg but the ring has fallen.
Is that a problem????
Thx

Moved to a more suitable forum than tutorials.

Welcome aboard. I am not sure what you are indicating by a ring, I will assume it is the plate through for the hole the relay was mounted in. If I am correct that is a problem, you relay appears to have that pin connected on the top side of the PCB. If there is no trace to it you will be ok.

Thanks for quick reply.
I was a dressing the little metal that appears ok on the other slot.
I did not clean the dirt there so that may be causing problem?

Yes,if the ‘pad’ is connected on the other side of the board.. you have a problem.

There are several ways to rework this, none of them really reliable for a beginner.

It’s possible and worth doing if the device is worth repairing.
Not complicated, but requires a knowledge of what you’re doing.

Before you do this again, invest in a solder sucker to suck out the molten solder.

Thanks for reply I will post tomorrow.

İ will check tomorrow.
I want to try:)

And/or pick up some solder wick, viz:

I have found Chemtronics flux type solder wick to be the best. Catch a youtube video or two on how to use it… I don’t even know where my solder sucker is just now.

However you proceed, it is good to practice this kind of thing on old junk boards. PCBs can be very delicate, don’t blame yourself too much for overheating and stripping up the copper.

Happily that spot has no connection so it is ok.
I want to ask what relays do in the ecu of a fuel system ?
Do they trigger the injectors??

Hi
Can we decide whether marked pin is connected to the trace?
Both sides marked.
Thanks

Other side..

Well it looks kinda obvsly like that’s where the capacitor achieves its connection to the other circuitry; manufacturers typically don’t put components on boards that are not. Connected.

You may see it different. The picture becomes a bit fuzzy zooming in, I’ve had some success taking pictures with a jeweler’s loupe held up to help my phone camera see dets.

are we sure it's only top and bottom layers? no third layer in sandwich?

On the components side one trace ends at one leg of the component. On the bottom the other is connected to ground (?) plane.

EDIT: the trace on the top layer seems to end before the device. In fact it looks more like some infill than a trace.

Can u please identify the marked components?
Circled little component has contact BTW upper and lower left leg so it's busted.
The leg shown with arrow of the other component looks burnt and it also has contact where as the other one has not. So they are two defect components I found...

It looks like a diode.
