Issue: Flashing/flickering RGB LEDs

Hi all!

I am relatively new to the whole Arduino community, but I am working on a project for university at the moment. My goal is to drive a 8x8 RGB LED matrix.

I have already built the whole thing using PL9823 LEDs which are identical to the WS2812, I believe.

Nearly everything seems to work fine - there is just one issue: Some of the last pixels in the chain are always flickering like you can see in this video:

Anybody has an idea on what could be my problem?

At the moment I am using the Adafruit Neopixel library to control the matrix.
