Subject line says it all. I was part way through a learning Eagle book when I heard the news that Autocad bought Eagle. So, I figure it's only a matter of time until it becomes even more expensive and user unfriendly. Time to bail before I invest any more time.
I've loaded up Kicad and so far so good. Now I need to create some new parts and get my basics on a solid foundation. I'm of course Google-ling my way forward but I'm old school, I'd much rather read than sit through a video (not a fan).
Please feel free to share good reference material you've found.
FWIW, I'm starting from a zero knowledge base on EDA packages so I figure I don't have to unlearn anything.
