Hi, I was making this battlebot and when I soldered it together the motor "A" driver would make the motor move a little then it would smoke, pop, or stop working(I made sure no wires where touching) while motor "B" works fine. but when I connect the same components on the breadboard it works perfectly.
same kind of parts & same transmitter the only difference is,
the Breadboard one has the vcc of driver connected to 5v on arduino whereas
the soldered one has vcc of driver connected to the 6v(rated motor v) regulator.
Motor driver is rated up to 12v
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If you need more info let me know.

I decided to purchase a l298n h-bridge module from a different brand. as it turns out that the modules i used previously did not like any power but from the arduino 5v pin.
