I'm trying to use lcd12864 display with Arduino using u8g2lib for our project.
The lcd displays what is based on the code but have a blank areas in the middle and some part in the upper right. May I know if this is due to hardware connection or the library I'm using is incompatible with the LCD.
Solder the header pins. Until you do that, you're just wasting your time. And potentially damaging the display in the process.

I soldered the header pins of the lcd but still resulted on the image above.
What can I check to conclude it is the lcd that has a defect?
If the blank area is still there I think that's a pretty good indication that the display is damaged. Whether it was pre existing or caused by the display powering itself via sneak paths when either ground or Vcc wasn't making a good connection, you'll never know.
