I am new to this area, so I apologise if I am asking a question that has been answered in a previous post (I did look through previous posts but got rather confused).
For an art installation, I have used an Arduino UNO to control four LEDs, and have programmed it to dim each LED (via PWM) according to the time. (image attached)
These panels can't easilly be dimmed as a beginner project. The page says they are 240V. It doesn't say if that's AC or DC, which tells you something about the seller, but it's definitely AC, because it also says "Australian plug". Dimming 240V AC is not easy or safe as a beginner project. Can you find some similar panels which run at, for example, 12V DC? Much safer and easier for a beginner. Dimming DC panels can be done with a simple circuit using logic-level MOSFETs.
Could you construct your own panels? Stick 12V led strips to a baseboard, with frosted glass or acrylic sheet in front?
