i wish to do a scrolling led display using arduino.. so anyone can give me a circuit diagram that worked and verified already with arduino?
thank you very much
What hardware do you have ?

At eBay different types of red 8x8 matrix LED modules based on MAX7219 drivers are sold.
Some are ready-to-use
Some are DIY and you have to solder the components
Cheapest modules are from China vendors.
Such like this DIY kit: ebay 121836063043
Time of delivery from China may be up to 6 weeks (depends on destination country and shipping fortuities.
hello friends,, thanks for your all replies..
but you know i already see some circuits and program in my Google search, but i am not sure they will work or not...no guarantee..it will be sad if it do not work after made the hardware,so i am asking my friends in this forum,if anyone did the scrolling display project successfully then please help me to give that circuit, then it will be trustful...
If you try to understand displays, you can make everything yourself. If you don't understand displays, circuit diagrams won't be helpful, because you won't be able to build the hardware properly at all, or you cannot find out what you did wrong.
You can start learning with any circuit diagram, choose what looks best to you. Then build it and make it work. If you run into trouble, we'll help you out.
ok, you are right.. thank you very much
To get a better grounding in what you are doing, look at my YouTube video #25 which is all about character scrolling using an LED matrix and the ubiquitous MAX7219.
It's quite straightforward. The URL for my videos in the footer of this post. Enjoy!

hi sir... thanks for your support.. i saw your videos.. its nice and informative.. but i need to make a scrolling display with shift registers,so need to know about the working principle and the logic behind the shifting of letters...if you have any video or link that explain shifting logic then please give me... thank you very much sir
