Loading GRBL into UNO

I am loading GRBL on a UNO and all goes well until I see this near end of upload:
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding

  1. Correct port selected? It should disappear from the IDE and your operating system when you disconnect the board.
  2. Correct board selected?
  3. Which version of the IDE are you using?
  4. Which operating system are you using?
  5. Is your board a real Uno or a clone; post a link to what you bought.
  6. When you press and release the reset button, does the L-LED give a couple of flashes in quick succession after the release?

Thanks I found the issue, I had a UNO but it was R4 incompatable processor.
I had an original Nano laying around and that solved the issue!
