LSM6DS3 Data to Microsoft Excel Data Streamer

I'm having trouble connecting my Rev2 to Excel's Data Streamer. I know people have posted about this issue before, but no solution has been documented. After printing to the serial monitor (which should be using the USB cable unlike Serial1 or Serial2), no data can be pulled in Excel.

Baud rate is set at 9600, no parity, 8 data bits, one stop bit, no handshaking settings.

Anyone have any ideas? I am reading that the Rev2 is very different from the Uno, and all the Data Streamer tutorials I have found are for a regular Uno.

Excel will import comma-delimited, quoted alphabetic labels:

Try the PLX-DAQ macro: PLX-DAQ version 2 - now with 64 bit support! (and further new features)

However, given the Monument to Bloatware that Excel became a decade or two ago, it is slow even on a 8 core, 4 GHz PC with a decent GPU.

So for rapid data collection, you are better off capturing comma-separated Serial.print values to a log file, using a terminal program like PuTTY or TeraTerm.

Rename the log output to .csv, open it up with the Excel bloatware and start processing the data.

Sounds good. I have downloaded PuTTY and have successfully gathered data. Thanks so much for your suggestion, this will be a good roundabout way of achieving what I'm trying to do.
