Someone posted a link to a tutorial that no longer works.
I'm looking for a small Arduino and instructions how I can make it play sounds when a coin is interested. It could be using the built in tone generator (the one that sounds like old cell phone ringtones).
I'm not looking to use a coin acceptor. Just a slot and something small behind it. Technically you could slide anything past it to make a sound.
So please post a link to that, so we can look at what actually does not work.
There is no built in sound generator on any Arduino board. However you might mean the tone library which should be included as parts of the Arduino core software.
But it doesn't sound like an old cell phone ring. It requires a passive piezo buzzer not an active one. An active one is one that sounds if you just connect it to a battery. Where as a passive buzzer simply clicks when connected to a battery.
Man are you confusing. Now you say I don't even want to make a sound when I coin is inserted even though that's what the title says. Never mind, I'll just search elsewhere for the help I need.
Grumpy, Mike is definitely an accurate description of your name. Maybe add rude to it also.
