Maxuino / Max for Live control of servos

Hi everybody, this is my first post here, and I'm a fresh-faced noob to Arduino.

I have a couple of servo motors rigged up to a musical instrument which I wish to be able to control with a midi controller, via Max for Live (the Max/MSP and Ableton bridge software). I have the Maxuino software installed, I think, but as I'm not too familiar with Max/MSP I can't really tell what's going on. Likewise I can find practically nothing online about this other than similarly lost new users asking the same thing.

I need to know how to get Ableton to send MIDI, get that interpreted as serial data, and communicated to the digital pins the servos are on. That much I know: I just don't know the first place to start.

Any help would be much appreciated. For now I'm just going to use potentiometers hooked up the analog ins on my Mega 2560, but having Ableton / Max for Live control the servos would mean being able to record sequences and make loops on the fly, without having to code commands in millisecond...

Cheers

what maxuino do u have?i have made an interface with maxuino 7.
1.you have to upload standardfirmata or oldstandardfirmata(depends on maxuino)
2.open maxuino
3.choose com
4.choose pins
