Message says "Error compiling" on my first example Program

Om !, I just bought ARDUINO UNO R3, Download Software from arduino.cc, Install it on my Win 8 using Aspire one (ACCER) Net Book.
As I attach my Uno to one of those USBs, amber LED (pin 13) start flickering then blinking in 1 Hz period (On half a second then Off half a second).
Start upload the "Blink" example program, it fails with "Error compiling" in an orange background" message, and the amber LED pin 13 board kept blinking.
I do not know next to do. Please help me on my Rp 300,000 budget.

Did you select Tools:Board:Uno?

Also select Files:Preferences, check the Verbose output check boxes.

I did what just recommended, but it seems like the problem still remain.
As for your reference, I did uninstall and install another Driver for the "Uno" with ricochet wireless USB driver from "Compaq" modem, as recommended via YouTube site--- Install the Arduino Uno under Windows 8 - YouTube and succeseed only on re-Installing.
If there's another possibility please help me more.

You need to select the option for verbose output during compilation, since this is the step which is failing.

Thanks Peter H & CrossRoads,

I've check Verbose on upload and compile then compile only, but, both doesn't give any solutions. The amber LED still remain blinking one Hertz, and Nice looking message says "Error compiling" still raised up.

It seem like that is not the problem.

Ok, need to copy the red error messages that will show up in the bottom under "error compiling".
Screen shots are not all that helpful.

Om,

Since I was using Ctrl "a" (select All) and then Ctrl "c" (copy selected) on copying the Verbose message, then I believe I've made the entire text copying.
Then I decide to uninstall all the program with Arduino from my NetBook, then instantly Install the "arduino-1.0.5-windows.exe", then as I try to upload the same program,.... SNAPS it is suddenly done..!

I really wanted to know what was really happen. but take your time to explain it for me. Mean while, I really appreciate your response of help. I've modify the delay as well, and it works so cute.
