metal detection sensor

is there any metal detection sensor(inductive sensor or any other circuitry) that has a good noncontact sensing range of about 30mm and can be connected to arduino

Possibly. Google would know.

That's not much specification. You can use a compass sensor to detect iron and steel or an inductive sensor but then the metal has to be moving. Either specify in more detail or tell us more about what you try to achieve.

Some metal detectors use an oscillator and two coils carefully arranged for zero mutual inductance, any
conductor in range will disturb the nulled-out coupling and produce a signal in the second coil - this has
a range of similar dimensions to the coils themselves and can be very sensitive. Inductive sensors do
not need magnetic materials or relative motion to detect metal since conductors expel ac magnetic fields
which changes the inductance of nearby coils.

They are out there. [balluff](http://www.cmafh.com/details.aspx?itemid=BES M30MM-PSC30F-BV02). Kinda spendy for the hobbyist but, that's the nature of industrial equipment.

Nearly anything can be connected. It's just a matter of how much time and money you're willing to put into doing it.
