If I wanted to connect multiple button batteries in series, what is the most compact way to do this?
I saw someone using shrink wrap sleeves and a heat gun.
I bought some button cell battery holders with the wire connectors but this adds extra size to it.
I learned that you cannot solder together button batteries.
What are your recommendations here?
What constraints led you to this awkward approach?
My recommendation is to consider other, more convenient power sources.
And presumably lived to tell the tale? Attempting to solder batteries like this together cause them to explode if you get them hot enough to melt solder.
Sorry I don’t know any alternative to separate battery holders.

Use something else….
3D print enclosure to fit and some spring as with other battery holders?
Or get some other nearly fitting enclosure.
If lucky you can get one from a toy.
