hey m new to arduino m using l298n motor driver to drive 2 motors 12v and 1.3amp each. but my l298 got too much heated and atlast burnt. so what should i use instead of l298 to drive 4 gear head motors of a robot's base ???. rating of motors is ( 12v and 1.6amp starting 1.3amp static each ).
The Pololu website has a wide range of motor drivers. Other manufacturers have similar products.
If you are content just to use a microchip then I have been using Infineon TLE5206 h-bridge devices. They can supply up to 5 amps and have short circuit protection.
