This is my first post here so please bear with me. I would like to control a rotary potentiometer, and read its position when turned my hand using arduino. I have a mega starter set. It seems that people have been doing this with flying faders but I haven't really seen anything using motorized rotary pots like this
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
But if this for audio, you'll need a dual pot (one for the audio and one to read the position). Or, for stereo you'd need a 3-gang pot.
There is a complication in that you'd like to have a linear pot (not an audio taper pot) to read the position. And virtually every 'stereo' pot has two identical pots ganged together.
Another option might be a servo motor (which has it's own pot an always knows where it is) but you won't get the full rotation. (Most servos have 180 degrees of range.)
