Hey, guys.
I'm looking for a MPU-9150. Where will I get the most bang for my buck?
I recently just purchased a Sainsmart Nano V3.0 (The black one)
I am wanting to use a MPU-9150 in a future project.
After doing some quick research I've seen a number of different MPU-9150's.
Which is the best for me? I would prefer the cheapest way possible while keeping the quality nice.
I've also noticed there is a "breakout" version of the MPU-9150. What exactly does that mean?
Please dump any and all information on me you may have!
Thanks in advance! I'm new to the Arduino community and appreciate your guys time!
Unless you can solder QFN surface mount packages you definitely want one on
a breakout board so you can actually use it!
Its a chip, where do you get chips normally? If you don't where to look, then at least
tell us where you live - otherwise all I can say is "Farnell, Digikey, Adafruit" because they work for me...
You need one on a breakout board since you probably can't solder that nasty package at home. Search eBay for mpu9150 - that's first stop for breakout boards, they're cheap too.
They're otherwise comparable, except that one is made by $parkfun.
Btw: Amazon is usually a ripoff for hobby electronics - that reasonably pieced one you went for is unusual in that regard. Often ebay sellers have the same things for half the price
Usually the boards are more expensive on Amazon than they are on eBay. It's unusual, ime, to find them at the same price like with this one. Note the prices on the other boards you linked to....

What's so hard about soldering QFNs? All it takes is a little hot air.
