I am making a robot that will detect fire. After fire detection fire extinguisher will activate. But I am using regular fire sensor and it's range is not too satisfying. I need minimum 14 -18 meters and I will use arduino board .How can I increase the range of the fire sensor? To do this work can be specially created a circuit? And I don't want to use a camera to do this. I need a special fire sensor for this. If anyone knows how to detect fire up to this range, please tell me
Use a parabolic reflector fire starter as a fire detector. Put the sensor at the focus point.
Alternatively dismantle an LED flashlight and put the sensor where the LED would be.

Just what do you want to detect, heat, smoke, gas, temperature, etc... Have you considered using a camera?

This sensor couldn't detect fire over 1 - 1.5 meter. But I need at least 10 meters. Is there have any alternative idea?

Hello. Your sensor is optical an measure light frequency. If you tried to use it on open air, you will get TRUE all the time because of sun. Sun do have all light spectrum.
If you can predict fire places, you can place sensors closer to points. We using such sensor in our commercial project's.
From distance 10 meters you can't detect fire. To much noise and interference.
