Don’t know if I’m in right place but I bought two 3.7v 5000mah Lipo rechargeable batteries for my AKASO-UFO a31 which uses a 3.7v 750mah…needless to say it won’t fly it just hovers inch off ground barely….plenty of power just too heavy…could I buy different motors and if so which ones are best with the 5000s? Or what drones use that much battery power. I bought thinking it would fly longer and faster..lol
Your topic was MOVED to its current forum category as it is more suitable than the original
What made you think that it was an Introductory Tutorial ?
I guess capacity and weight are fairly proportional for the same battery types. Your new battery is more than 6 time the capacity and therefore likely many times heavier than the drone designer expected. Did you try a battery with a little extra capacity?
What weight is it designed for? What weight are comparable devices designed for?
More lift capacity calls for larger propellers, stronger motors, battories for flying time...
You could try a forum which specifically discusses stuff related to RC models, including drones;
It won't fly 'faster' or lift more since the voltage is unchanged. The drone won't be burning power any faster than before.
You could put the two packs in series to get 7.4V but you would probably fry the motors and/or electronics.
Sorry I didn’t even know where to start new thread or post…I’m just trying to get some answers on motors that I can buy for the battery in question or find a drone that uses them
Not yet I was goin to get a 1200mah or 1800mah but saw the 5000mah without thinking it’d be that heavy. When it was running with the bigger battery the power was extremely much higher but it barely left the ground. Could I get bigger propellers or motors and if so what motor would work?
I tried to refrain from saying this but instead of worrying where I posted my question why didn’t you just answer question or not even worry bout it…thanks for the help
Hi! Which possible drones for that do you have in mind? Are VR set drones suitable for that?(useful article about them)
Think of the rest of us... imagine one of us going to the area "Introductory Tutorials" looking for, well, an introductory tutorial for example, and having to wade through actual questions raised by folk who can't heed the capital letter sticky:
