Newbie trying to make a Quadcopter

Hi there I started this about a week ago and I have looked it up on Google and found some stuff but I couldn't understand it.I have found some code from aero quad for my Arduino but I have a few questions

First I want to know if I could use my Arduino Uno by itself to use it as a flight control board or do I need add-ons

Second could I fly my quad without electronic speed controls or do I need to have them, and if I do need to have them could I incorporate it into my arduino.

Third. I have a rc car and I was wondering if I could take its remote and receiver and hook it up to my Arduino.

I have built my frame and got my motors and props. I don't have much money to spend on this my budget is $50 to spend on this project.

Thank you for your help

P.S if you have some links that could help me that would be much appreciated

I assume by add-ons you mean things like accelerometers, gyroscopes, GPS units, radios, barometric pressure sensors, etc. Yep, you need add-ons.

I've found that balls-to-the-wall is not the best way to do anything. YMMV.

For what purpose? There's duct tape...
