Nextion Enclosure Disables Touch

Hi - I made a little enclosure to house my microcontroller and 5" Nextion screen, you can see it here: Imgur: The magic of the Internet

Specifically, this is an image of the enclosure with the screen on: https://i.imgur.com/e6XAxjw.jpg

The issue is that the screen just does not respond to touch when the top piece is on, and I'm wondering if that is caused by:

A. Too much pressure against the sides of the screen (it's made to fit quite tight, I don't know if it's pushing down or not, but the rim is definitely flush).

B. The little chamfered rim that meets the screen is protruding over the white outline of the touchable area.

I'm going to print another one up, but I'd just like to hear from anyone experienced that might be able to clear it up for me so I know where to bring the rim out to and if I should be trying to avoid such a tight fit.

Thanks!

If something is pushing or resting on the actual screen that could be sensed as an input (or more, a lot of inputs) making it not respond to more inputs.

Does this go for anywhere on the glass screen part? Or only for stuff inside the viewable area?

I'm not really sure where the touch screen of the Nextion ends. So can't say.

It seems to have some overhang that is not considered usable area, but there's two different borders around the viewable area so I'm not sure which would be the safe one...I'll have to do some tests I suppose. Anyway, thanks!
